Specialized, Qualified Staff
What kind of nursing support do you need? For the past 20 years, Luba’s Services has been matching qualified staff precisely to our clients’ needs. A Registered Nurse oversees each case, while we provide day-to-day support with:
- Certified Nursing Assistants - CNAs support registered nurses by checking vital signs and reporting on changing symptoms. They provide help with basic activities of daily living, such as dressing, washing, eating and toileting, as well as helping with exercise, providing an escort to medical appointments, and tidying up the living space.
- Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistants – CGNAs provide more specialized nursing assistance and are qualified to work in long-term care and hospital settings. They may monitor vital signs, prepare patients for surgery, assist nurses and doctors in performing treatments and surgeries, and provide other care under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors. They also help with bathing, dressing and undressing, feeding, and transporting patients, changing bed linens, and cleaning and organizing the living space.
- Companions - attend to nonmedical personal and social needs. They may read aloud, play games, and offer other activities to provide mental stimulation. They may also offer support services such as preparing and serving meals, caring for pets, and performing light housekeeping, as well as providing transportation to medical appointments and soclai outings.
